Your Inner Child

When we were younger What personality traits do you remember about yourself? Do you still hold those traits? Sometimes our daily thoughts, lives and routines get in the way of who we really are (our inner child) I can remember being a jokester when I was younger. Always walking around the house acting silly and making everyone laugh. These couple of years I can remember being really busy with life, and just being a listener for everyone else.  Recently, I told myself that I need to practice my inner self again. Don’t forget your inner child because that is the core of your life and walk forward with that and you will be able to to just be. Sometimes you have to pause its essential that we pause and find ourselves again. When we don’t that’s when you start seeing many people just walking around like Zombies or running around taking different drugs etc to supress or just deal with their daily self. The prescription drugs, excessive alcohol use will not help you in the long run.

That’s when to start meditation for a few minutes a day . Pausing and writing a journal will also help you reconnect with yourself and deal with daily life.

How many minutes are in a day and how many minutes do you really reconnect with yourself ? Just think about that if you think you don’t have time to meditate for 5 minutes or even write for 5 ? Because there are 1440 minutes in a 24 hour day !   720 minutes in 12 hour day ! Make the time.. ! 🙂 Don’t run from yourself its ok!  🙂

I do realize that in our crazy rat race of a day you feel that your just waiting for your day to be over. WHY? Because tomorrow your going to do it all over again. Most people follow societies standards that are set for them: finish college, get a job, get married, have kids, pay bills, and then retire and then what…. I’m not saying this is right or wrong…but it just is.. When do you truely transform into you?

Having so many conversations and life coaching sessions I’m beginning to really realize that not everyone is happy with their lives, marriages, jobs and the list goes on.  In order, to get yourself to step one of an ounce of happiness or a teaspoon..lol.. You must have some time to yourself. Maybe even once a week for 1 hour ? Can you spare that for you?

Key questions to ask you (just a nice way to check in) Journal :

Write down what your day looked like?

Was it just busy work or did you really get something out of it?

How did you feel in your day? Did you connect with anyone or was it chore driven? Or both.

If there were no limits what would  I really want to do?

Can I explore the possibility?

Who am I at a deeper level?

How do I want things to look like for myself tomorrow or even in 5 years?

These are key questions to get yourself back in touch with yourself and escape from the rat race for at least 5 minutes.
